On March 15, 2016 Government of Canada introduce a new entry requirement for visa exempt foreign Nationals but allowed a transition period for people from those countries to board their flight without eTA until September 1, 2016.
The requirement being that a visitor/or traveller except U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid Canadian visa destined to Canada must apply and obtain eTA before boarding their flight to Canada or transiting through Canada. Each person must submit a separate eTA application. If your child or children appear on your passport, a separate eTA application must be submitted for each child.
