News Release – New pathway to permanent residency for over 90,000 essential temporary workers and international graduates
The Honourable Marco E. L. Mendicino, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, on April 14, 2021 announced a special public policies that creates a new path way to Permanent resident for over 90,000 temporary workers and international graduates currently in Canada and possess the skills and experience Canada need to fight the pandemic and accelerate economic recovery. IRCC will begin in May till November 5, 2021 accepting applications under the following 3 streams:
- 20,000 applications for temporary workers in health care
- 30,000 applications for temporary workers in other selected essential occupations
- 40,000 applications for international students who graduated from a Canadian institution
