Who can apply to this program?
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is for foreign nationals who:
- have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a province or territory
- want to live in that province
- wish to become permanent residents of Canada
What are the streams one can apply under in PNP?
Each province and territory have its own streams based on their regional labor market needs (immigration programs that target certain groups) along with unique requirements. For example, in a program stream, provinces and territories may target students, skilled workers, semi-skilled workers and people in business. Depending on the stream you apply to, you may be required to use the paper-based process or the online process. You can learn more about the paper-based process here and the two different online processes here.
All applicants require a police clearance certificate and a medical exam, in other words, one must not be inadmissible.
